Michigan has quietly developed into one of America’s outstanding summer golf destinations, with an impressive collection of resort, woodland, and championship courses. Northern Michigan is particularly special, where layouts wind through dense forests, rolling terrain, lakes, and dramatic elevation changes. Long summer days and comfortable temperatures create ideal conditions for playing multiple rounds and getting the most out of a golf trip. Destinations such as Boyne and Gaylord make it possible to experience numerous quality courses while staying in one general area. For groups searching for great summer golf, beautiful scenery, and a relaxed atmosphere, Michigan deserves to be high on the list.
